The Vision: 2012

UCC will be known and recognized throughout Delaware County for its ministry to families and individuals, impact on the community, and inspirational worship services.

The UCC campus will be attractive and equipped with the resources needed to provide quality sports ministries, after school programs, support groups, youth events, and other on-campus ministries to the community, which are not currently being provided in Northwest Muncie. The worship facility will provide enough seating to provide for ample growth and will include a spacious stage with theater lighting, high quality sound system, and other technology needed to provide and record excellent worship services, musicals, and dramas. Plenty of classroom space will allow UCC to offer the best Christian Education program in the area. UCC will purchase surrounding property as God leads and provides in order to erect facilities sufficient to provide this kind of ministry to the community.

The ministry of UCC will expand beyond the activities on campus, as the congregation takes more and more of an active role in meeting needs within the community. Furthermore, the church will continue to strongly support and participate in global missions.

This vision will be realized through the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit as we continue to allow Christ to lead His church, following boldly and with unshakable faith as He leads us to take steps we may not dare to take on our own.

UCC will operate with a mission mindset rather than a maintenance mindset. This means we are committed to move beyond the comfortable status quo and to support changes that will help bring more people to Christ.

"Developing Spiritual growth" will be measured not just by attendance or Bible knowledge, but also by demonstrating a contagious faith.

Ministry goals will be set with a focus on developing the qualities and characteristics that have been proven to result in natural church growth. Outreach efforts will incorporate a variety of evangelistic styles to allow every member to effectively reproduce their faith in others.
